A BAD CHRISTIAN DYSTOPIAN | A RANT

Lying is a sin. Lying to save your own life does not seem to be a sin. Unless you’re lying about whether or not you think Jesus was a fraud, in which case you would be sinning. And so if you died right then, would you go to hell? Probably. Do you see how this is kind of [ __ ] up? You see how this looks, right? Murdering them in self-defense. A-OK.
Okay. Forgivable. Saying no, God doesn’t exist in order to save your own life. Not A-OK, bad.

This is Rachel and today she is talking about a bad Christian dystopian novel. And when she says bad, she doesn’t mean it’s bad because it’s written by a Christian about Christians. It’s bad because it’s Christian persecution complex, which is always a silly goose time. The plot here runs primarily on Christian persecution complex, but it’s also a romance between the persecuted Christian and her persecutor. And as always with Christian persecution complex, everyone outside of the approved theological bubble is seconds away from kicking down the door of the Christians.

Today’s book is Subversive by Raina Rude. The first in a Christian dystopian trilogy where the United States is no longer a land of freedom for Christians because Christianity has been declared a threat. And now anybody who’s a Christian is a subversive.

Oh, boy…
