Eli Roth wants cannibals to devour you. Yes, you read that correct. Or at least, that’s the message of his film The Green Inferno, a movie where activists and social justice warriors travel to the Amazon Rain Forest to get devoured by a native tribe of cannibals.
This film reflects a greater idea from this controversial filmmaker that I think gets overlooked too often. This film is reprehensible, but not just because of the often shocking violence.
