That line is probably one of the most quoted things Noam Chomsky has ever said. It’s been used in essays, protests, lectures – basically anywhere people want to make the case that truth still matters, and that someone, somewhere, should be brave enough to say it out loud.
And for decades, Chomsky has built an entire career on doing exactly that.
He’s one of the most cited scholars in the world.
A linguist who fundamentally changed how we understand language. A political thinker who spent decades dissecting U.S. foreign policy, media propaganda, and elite power structures. The kind of intellectual who doesn’t just comment on power- he explains how it works, who benefits from it, and why it so often goes unchallenged.
