How “The Birth of a Nation” Ruined America

I recently decided to watch the horrifyingly racist movie, “The Birth of a Nation.” I was curious what it was like, just because I had long heard about it but never seen it, so I gave it a try. The result was surprising in all the worst ways. This video logs my journey through and breakdown of the movie, along with discussing how depressingly modern it is.

How Did Ulysses 31 (1981) End?

The epic that is on everyone’s mind right now is The Odyssey.
It is a legendary tale in which Odysseus, also known as Ulysses, faces unimaginable obstacles, from monsters to vengeful gods, while trying to return home after the ten-year Trojan War.
The story has withstood the test of time simply because it is so interesting and captivating. In July 2026, Academy Award-winning director Christopher Nolan brought his own star-studded adaptation of the epic to theatres.
But long before Nolan’s film, there was an animated series that gave a completely new meaning to the phrase “modern retelling.”
Ulysses 31, also known in Japan as Space Legend Ulysses 31, was a spectacular science-fiction anime that retold the story of Odysseus with one major twist.
The entire thing was set in the 31st century!
