How have Joanne’s actions changed what Harry Potter means to us?
The biggest threat to Western Civilization: compassion. Makes perfect sense.
In a further step toward fascism, the Trump administration has withdrawn financial support from the public broadcaster PBS, banning programs like “Sesame Street” from the screens. The money will instead go to the right-wing extremist smear campaign PragerU. In their children’s program, they make such unbelievable claims as that slavery was good. They are poisoning the minds and hearts of the children of the United States. The damage has been done, and the situation has deteriorated for years to come. How did the United States get here?
In this video, I respond to American posts that prove that Americans live in their own bubble. After over a year abroad, one of my biggest culture shocks was the realization that the average American is both uncultured and misinformed, because most Americans never travel to Europe. And worse, they have no interest in changing their behavior. This video is a product of this unwillingness to change.
Six Republican-led states have now pledged National Guard troops to the Trump administration’s takeover of Washington, D.C., where it has assumed control of policing under the claim of tackling crime. Along with the D.C. National Guard that Trump already controlled, this brings the total number of troops in the streets of the capital to more than 2,000. The federal takeover comes even as violent crime in the capital is at a 30-year low — numbers the Trump administration now disputes, with the Justice Department launching an investigation into whether those crime statistics were manipulated by city officials.
“What we’re seeing is lawlessness, but it’s all coming from the White House,” says community activist Keya Chatterjee, the executive director of the group Free DC.

This song created the phrase “moral malnutrition”. That’s what we are seeing in these days…
Someone’s sleeping on the sidewalk
As the winter sun goes down
Someone’s drinking cold champagne
In another part of town
And the only thing he thinks about
As he sips his glass of wine
It sure feels good sitting here tonight
Now that I’ve got mine
I’ve got mine, I’ve got mine
This isn’t such a bitter world
Cause I’ve got mine
Someone’s wandering the streets tonight
No way to warm his hands
Someone’s turning up their fireplace
Making travel plans
His mind is on some sandy beach
Where the sun is gonna shine
He thinks I don’t have to hang around
Now that I’ve got mine
You see them in their limousines
You see the way they stare
They don’t see us looking back
Because they don’t really care (they say)
I’ve got mine, I’ve got mine
The world is as it’s meant to be
Cause I’ve got mine
So I make a small donation
What more can I do
You know I didn’t make this world
I’m in it just like you
I’ve worked all my life on this house of cards
To keep it all in line
I can’t take care of everyone
Now that I’ve got mine
There’s another kind of poverty
That only rich men know
A moral malnutrition
That starves their very souls
And they can’t be saved with money
They’re all running out of time
And all the while they’re thinking
It’s OK ‘Cause I’ve got mine
I’ve got mine, I’ve got mine
I don’t want a thing to change
Cause I’ve got mine, I’ve got mine

Is it just us, or has Google gotten worse?
After years of relentless growth, the ‘don’t be evil’ company has effectively monopolized the internet.
It’s using this chokehold to drive up revenue by forcing ads on users—at the expense of quality and useful search results.
