The Next World Power Isn’t Who You Think

Created by Dangerously Informed with Evie
Canada’s reputation has always been a little different.
People tend to think of it as safe. Stable. Friendly. The country of hockey, mountains, universal healthcare, and an almost supernatural ability to apologize for things that weren’t its fault. If you asked somebody overseas to describe Canada, they’d probably say something nice.
They probably wouldn’t describe it as powerful.
But, Canada keeps appearing in conversations where it normally wouldn’t. International commentators are asking whether the country is “having a moment.”
What if we’ve been looking for the next superpower in all the wrong places?
What if the countries best positioned for the future aren’t necessarily the ones with the biggest armies or the largest populations, but the ones that spent decades accumulating trust while everyone else was focused on accumulating power?
Because if that’s true, then Canada may be a lot more important than most people realize.
